Gibson Ceilidh (KayLee) Pipes

These remarkable smallpipes have the traditional look of drones over the crook of the arm. They have amazing harmonics, are extremely steady and available in the key of A. Gibson Ceilidh pipes are made with Cocobolo (Coca-Bola) drones and brass mounts and come equiped with a Cocobolo Chanter. *Cocobolo is a very beautiful dense wood, close to African Blackwood; Many pipers feel it is slightly sweeter in its sound. Its beautiful rustic multi coloring makes this wood a very attractive choice that everyone will be proud to own. All three drones (baritone, bass, and tenor) share a common stock. Our Ceilidh pipes come set up with a synthetic pipe bag,velvet bag cover, plastic reed set, Cocobolo chanter, poly drone and chanter stock. These Pipes are particularly well suited to playing with fiddles, guitars, whistles or vocal accompaniment.

Ceilidh Pipes in the key of "Bb" are best suited for personal enjoyment, playing at home or while traveling and are ideal for playing with keyboard accompaniment. The Key of "A" Model has a lower pitch and is particularly well suited to playing with fiddles, guitars, whistles or vocal accompaniment.
